My First Post, My First Child

At the age of 33 years, on the 3rd year of my marriage and in the 3rd trimester of my first pregnancy… I decided to rant journal my adventures stepping into motherhood so I can read back in future and laugh at myself and hopefully even appreciate how I have evolved as a person.

Currently 38 weeks, I really am excited to meet our baby girl soon, just as much as I am terrified of the unknown labour.

Gosh, I’m having my own daughter! I’ll eventually understand what Ibu had to go through all these years. But I am thankful that I shall not be alone in this journey, for I have a husband who has been a solid rock throughout the months.

However, I have questions bouncing daily in my head:

  • How would she look like? A cross between SFM and I… hmmm
  • Would i do a good job?
  • Will I be able to maintain my pokerface and deflect external interference?
  • Would both SFM & I go crazy a few months later & scream at each other?
  • Will she be a sweet baby or a monster baby?

Huh. Exhausting.

I’m going to sleep & relax. Just as the doc prescribed.
